This is my first song with a new guitar,
That I bought yesterday.
It marked the year anniversary of the girl I used to date,
She thought I was coming home with a shiny new surprise.
When she saw my purchase, there was a fire in her eyes
I did my best to calm her down, but she wasn�t havin� none of that
There wasn�t no sweet talkin� I could do, to try and win her back.
So, I broke out that new guitar, and I played my best love song.
Apparently that wasn�t quite enough because now she�s gone.

And the best response I�ve given is maybe.

Why I bought these strings and wood.

It makes me smile more in one night, than I did this whole past year.

It�s always got something nice to say when it talks.
